We're less than a month away from the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the biggest event of the year in gaming, so the GameSpot team is hard at work preparing to bring you the world's best coverage of the show. That ain't stopping us from bringing you plenty of interesting news and information in the mean time, though! Let's look at some of the highlights.

First, in case you hadn't noticed, Oblivion fever is sweeping the nation--the world, even. Bethesda, developer of the highly acclaimed new role-playing game, reported record-breaking sales of Oblivion earlier this week, which came as little surprise to us here at GameSpot, considering Oblivion's been the number-one most popular game on our site for days. So be sure to check out our comprehensive coverage of the game. We've got tons of downloadable mods, an extensive game guide, a comparison feature with the Xbox 360 version of the game, and, for those of you still on the fence, a review that ought to convince you of why you too should be playing this amazing game. OK, no more gushing from me about Oblivion for a while, I promise.

Let's move on to Condemned: Criminal Origins, another game that's also available on the Xbox 360, but newly released for the PC. Condemned is from the makers of F.E.A.R., and the best way I can describe it is to say that what F.E.A.R. does for guns, Condemned does for melee combat. This is one brutal, creepy, atmospheric game, and if you haven't had a chance to check it out for the Xbox 360, you should definitely give the PC version a look. It's basically the same game and turned out just as well.

Finally, we've got an updated hands-on report of the next game in the beloved Heroes of Might and Magic turn-based strategy series. Since it's due out in May, that means this game is almost done, so check out our account to get the skinny on how good of a job it's doing living up to the quality of its predecessors. Heck, I'm still playing Disciples II every now and then, so I can't wait to get a new fix of fantasy turn-based strategy from this one.
