For now, though, why pay good money for games when you can download a nice demo for free? This week we're proud to premiere the single-player demo of TimeShift, a first-person shooter with a unique hook in that it lets you travel through time and also use various temporal powers to make short work of your enemies. Considering TimeShift isn't a sequel to anything but is a first-person shooter, that makes it pretty unique automatically, does it not? Check out the demo and see why we've been cautiously optimistic about this one for a good while.

Next up in the realm of quirky first-person shooters, we have a hands-on report about UberSoldier (normally spelled with an umlaut, but I'm using shorthand). In UberSoldier, you play as an undead German soldier seeking revenge against your Nazi masters' unethical scientific practices...need I say more? Sure, why not.
