This year's E3 will surely go down in the record books as one of the most eventful and memorable ever, and like anybody could have predicted beforehand, Sony was one of the show's big newsmakers. We were thrilled to bring you live streaming coverage of the PlayStation press conference two days before E3 even started, but of course the news didn't stop there. Not by a long shot.

In my decade of E3 attendance, I don't think I've ever seen a show more packed with big names and bigger announcements, not to mention one of the richest lineups across all platforms in recent memory. But admit it: the PlayStation 3 is what you really want to know about. Sony finally blew the lid off its upcoming monster system at its press conference, including new hardware features, a bunch of playable games, and even (slightly painful) pricing and release details. We've collected every shred of available information on the PS3 into one feature, including all the hottest games and the entirety Sony's press conference. Check out the full scoop, and start pinching those pennies for what will surely be an expensive November.

Sony naturally had the biggest showing of PlayStation 3 games at the show, but one of the most noteworthy titles was presented by Ubisoft--and only to a select few. The game is Asssassin's Creed, it's from the team who brought you Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and it made one of the biggest impressions of any game we saw at the show. That's not least of all because Creed clearly demonstrates the evolution of Sands of Time's gameplay design, with its intensely acrobatic anti-hero who can scale sheer walls and leap across great gaps in pursuit of his quarries. But perhaps even more interesting is the utterly unexpected narrative twist that came at the end of the demo. What exactly is going on in this game? You'll have to read

And then, there's no bigger name on a Sony platform than Metal Gear. I clutched my Revolver Ocelot action figure to my heart in the hopes that Konami would reveal anything on MGS4 at E3, and I was not disappointed. In addition to an enormous new trailer--which you can find described and excerpted on our site--series creator Hideo Kojima was kind enough to sit down for our cameras in an exclusive interview on all his recent and future doings. That new trailer blew our minds when it first aired during the Sony press conference. Campbell! Meryl! Hunter! ...Raiden? One editor even shed tears (not me). Will you be similarly moved? Only by absorbing all this coverage will you know for sure.

There was more to see at E3 this year than I could fit into a hundred newsletters, so for the comprehensive scoop, don't miss GameSpot's enormous E3 hub page.
