urgo2 Gamers review XBOX
Get you christmas gifts and gamers games at EBgames
Once again, I've divided up the proceedings into a number of different tiers: the Special Achievement Awards, which honor some of the most noteworthy accomplishments in gaming; the Dubious Honors, which shine a bright spotlight on various games of dubious distinction (for shame!); the Genre Awards, which cover everything from the best shooters to the best sports games; the Platform Awards, which acknowledge the single best games for every major game system out there; and, of course, Game of the Year, where we list our top 10 games from 2005 and then name a single great, great winner among them. Then it's your turn as we open up the ballots in our 10th annual Readers' Choice Awards
There's definitely a lot to cover, so much like how you should save room for leftovers during all those absolutely scrumptious holiday dinners, we recommend pacing yourself as you dig into our awards. Um, besides, we won't have much in the way of new content for a few days as the game industry reluctantly grinds to a halt and gives itself a much-needed break. After all, 2006 promises to be an even bigger, crazier year for games than what we just lived through. Don't worry, we'll be back with tons of news, previews, reviews, and much more first thing in JanuaryI hope you enjoy our awards, but let's also take one last chance to direct you to our Holiday Gift Guide...just in case you've got some last-minute shopping
to do, which at this point probably covers the entire population of the free world. There are a lot of fantastic games featured in there, so we heartily recommend getting any of them for others if not for you. Thanks for visiting GameSpot this year, and we hope you have a great time playing games over the holidays. See you in '06!
