These are some of my Favorites!, First up, let's talk about Company of Heroes, the next real-time strategy game from Relic, the gang responsible for the excellent Homeworld games. Of course, those were set in deep space, whereas Company of Heroes is set during World War II. But while WWII is pretty played out as far as computer game settings go, Company of Heroes' amazing-looking visuals and other unique traits make this one well worth watching. It's easily one of our most highly anticipated strategy games these days. Check out our new Q&A and our latest screens and video and you'll quickly understand why.

Next up, it was our pleasure to premiere the aptly named Unreal Tournament 2004 Mega Pack, featuring nine new deathmatch, assault, and CTF maps, not to mention all the other free content that Epic Games has released for UT 2004 up till now. UT 2004 is practically the poster child for post-release developer support--not only did that game cram in a huge ton of content out of the box, but Epic's kept supporting it with new stuff. And sure enough, years after its release UT 2004 remains one of the best competitive shooters available. If you haven't played in a while, this mega pack makes for a great excuse to dig up your copy and jump back in.
Then again, maybe you're more of a Quake fan. In that case, you'd better tune in at 6:00pm PST this Friday for GameSpot's Seismic Showdown, our 64-player Quake 4 tournament featuring more than $2,000 in prizes. We'll be broadcasting the finals live, and you'll get to see how our best contestants fare against Kornelia, a longtime pro Quake player who'll be at our studios dishing out the pain one rail slug at a time. Hey, even if you're not into Quake, I think you'll like the idea of checking out the competitive carnage that ensues when we put a bunch of money on the line and broadcast the proceedings over the Internet. Be sure to let us know what you think, and once again, have a great holiday from all of us at GameSpot.
